It beat out the previous record, held by a McLaren P1.

The Czinger 21C is a perfect example of what modern technology is truly capable of when it comes to automobile manufacturing. To create the 21C, Czinger Vehicles used AI in order to engineer components that are optimized for weight and performance. Each component is then printed, finished, and assembled in-house at their headquarters in Los Angeles, California. The result is a hypercar that’s been incredibly optimized in every sense and that’s why the Czinger 21C was just able to smash the production car lap record at the Circuit of the Americas. This news was announced by the automaker in a YouTube video, found up above, where you can see the lap itself. The 2:11:33 lap time was enough to beat out the previous record held by a McLaren P1 by more than 6 seconds. Be sure to check out the amazing lap for yourself by clicking play up above.

The Czinger 21C will have a limited production run of 80 street-legal examples with deliveries starting in 2023. Each one comes with a hybrid powertrain that produces a combined 1,250 horsepower.
