A Lamborghini legend is ready to find a new home.
The Lamborghini Murciélago is one of the proudest moments in Lamborghini history, and while it’s a relatively recent memory for many automotive enthusiasts, it’s already cemented itself as a supercar legend. One of its biggest fans is famed car collector and VINWiki founder Ed Bolian, who has collected various examples with alluring attributes and captivating stories. These examples include one of just 23 Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 coupes equipped with the gated six-speed manual transmission.
On top of that, it’s Monterey Blue paint color makes it a 1-of-1 example for the United States market. The car was featured benig driven on Ed Bolian’s YouTube channel, and has gained fame of its own as a rare and historic example of Lamborghini’s automotive excellence, and a time-capsule masterpiece in an era in which manual transmissions are rarely seen in supercars, let alone with naturally aspirated V12 engines.
Recently, Ed Bolian has parted ways with the manual Monterey Blue Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Coupe, selling it to Ryan Friedman Motor Cars in Glen Cove, New York. In a new Instagram post from the dealership announcing its acquisition of the iconic supercar, with plans to show it off at one of the automotive world’s most anticipated events: Monterey Car Week. With its history, exclusivity, and irreplaceable purist driver’s car character, the gated manual Monterey Blue Lamborghini Murciélago LP 640 Coupe is certainly worthy of such a stage.
