Just last year, 2014, Jim Taggart channeled his love for fast cars and successful business background in order to create Taggart Autosport: an exotic car dealership like no other, located in Cary, North Carolina.
In an interview on TaggartAutosport.com, Taggart himself said, “The bottom line: Taggart Autosport cars have simply got to be fast. It’s a Taggart thing.” And he stands by this because they have some of the world’s quickest cars for sale, including the Porsche 918 Spyder.
This dealership all started when Taggart sold his successful company back in 2010. With what he had earned, he pursued his passion for racing. After having been named the SCCA National Rookie of the Year in 2012, he went on the race in the Pirelli World Challenge, where he was also named the Rookie of the Year.
In 2014, he decided he wanted to not only race fast cars, but also offer them for sale. Thus, Taggart Autosport was created.
Now, this dealership isn’t a normal one where you walk in and pick out a car. Instead, you call ahead to make an appointment, and when you arrive, you’ll have the entire showroom to yourself. It doesn’t get much more personal than that,” said Taggart in the interview.
Along with having a building full of exotic cars for sale, they also build Rally Fighters on-site. Taggart said, “Other than us, there are just two ways to get the Rally Fighter. You can attend the Local Motors on-site build experience or purchase the kit and build it yourself.”
Taggart Autosport also specialized in customizing cars. Whether it’s a Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder, or a Jeep, each of their customized cars was made with one thing in mind: speed.
