The Cultivated Collector Shows Its Lancia Stratos Trio In Action

This rally legend followed the rule of threes.

Various disciplines throughout society recognize the significance of the number three. When something comes in a trinity or trio, it carries added poignance, and that is especially true when something is rare or historic like the Lancia Stratos. Born, like many of the most iconic retro performance machines, out of rally homologation, the Lancia Stratos was made to race.

A mid-mounted Ferrari Dino-sourced V6 engine provided power, and the wedge-shaped Bertone-designed body characterized the futuristic silhouette of the 1970s. The result was a rally-ready machine with pure Italian automotive excellence, and while the United States didn’t get to enjoy very much of Lancia’s automotive creativity, the Italian name is responsible for many of the most intriguing and ingenious automotive feats, the Stratos being one of the manufacturer’s greatest highlights.

Known for sourcing and selling some of the most unique and interesting pieces of automotive history, The Cultivated Collector in New Canaan, Connecticut, has seen a total of three “Strati” come through its doors, including this beautiful blue example listed for sale. To celebrate the “Stratos Trio,” the dealership put together a video of the three incredible cars in action and on the road together, a once-in-a-lifetime sight for any automotive enthusiast. A 1976 model-year example of the Stratos, its dazzling blue doesn’t just decorate the exterior, but the interior as well, with bright blue carpets and blue upholstery on the seats as well. As unique as the car is on its own, this beautiful configuration makes it like few other cars on the road. View the price and listing of this masterpiece by clicking below.
