With the new Alpha5, DeLorean isn’t toying around.
DeLorean is a pop culture icon, and with its Alpha5, the brand is making a triumphant and anticipated return to the automotive world, and in doing so, it partners with another pop culture icon: Hot Wheels. Ahead of the Alpha5’s August 18 debut, Hot Wheels has revealed images of its 1:64 rendition of the new all-electric revival of the DeLorean name. DeLorean and Hot Wheels have been collaborating on this project for a total of 4 months, with concept art sketching, CAD development, digital clay design, 3D printing, and prototype model development all a part of that process.

The new die-cast car in its miniature form perfectly captures the stunning Italdesign-penned look of the new Alpha5, which is going to have its official global debut at the world-renowned Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance, on the awards ramp of the incredibly prestigious event during Monterey Car Week, one of the most important periods in the annual automotive calendar. DeLorean is back, with its signature bold design, and technology and performance that takes its driver to the future.
