dR LIVE continues to keep things simple and straightforward with curated listings, clear documentation, and enough background to understand what’s actually being offered. This week’s group of closing auctions reflects that approach, with three cars that all aim at performance but come from very different places. There’s a modern AMG built with few compromises, a Ferrari from the tail end of the naturally aspirated era, and an American track-focused Mustang that shows how far factory performance and thoughtful modification can go.

The most modern and most extreme of the group is a 2021 Mercedes-Benz AMG GT Black Series Project One Edition. The standard GT Black Series was already AMG’s most focused road car, built around a flat-plane-crank twin-turbo V8 and a serious aerodynamic package developed with track use in mind. This example adds the Project One Edition details, a visual and thematic nod to Mercedes-AMG’s Formula One program that was offered to a very small group of buyers. Finished in Obsidian Black, it shows documented ownership history and recent service, and its appeal is less about outright numbers and more about what it represents: the furthest AMG has pushed a front-engine road car.

Next is a 2008 Ferrari F430 Scuderia with around 18,000 miles, finished in Rosso Scuderia. The Scuderia has aged into a sweet spot for many Ferrari enthusiasts. It’s lighter and more direct than the standard F430, still naturally aspirated, and tied closely to Ferrari’s Formula One development of the era. This example shows consistent ownership history and a major recent service that addressed key mechanical items, which goes a long way with cars like this. It’s not a museum piece, but it’s clearly been cared for, and that tends to be exactly what people look for in a driver-focused Ferrari.

Rounding out the group is a 2019 Ford Mustang Shelby GT350R that leans more toward the enthusiast-built side of the spectrum. The GT350R is already known for its high-revving Voodoo V8, manual transmission, and stripped-back approach, and this example takes things further with a VMP supercharger and supporting upgrades. A recent engine replacement and follow-up service help put some context around the modifications, showing that the car’s been sorted rather than simply turned up. Taken together, these three listings feel intentionally varied—different eras, different philosophies, and different ways of chasing the same thing, making them a good snapshot of the kind of cars that tend to surface on dR LIVE.
