2018 Chevrolet Corvette Carbon 65 Price, Specs & Review

Corvette’s 7th generation has been with us since 2014, so it’s time for something new. Rumors are running rampant about a mid-engine supercar, but for the time being, we’ll see a resurrection of the ZR1. Until it arrives, the 2018 Corvette Carbon 65 will celebrate the 65th anniversary of the plastic fantastic. Only 650 examples will be produced, as options for the C7 Grand Sport 3LT and Corvette Z06 3LZ trim packages.

Ceramic Matrix Gray with blue graphics will compliment the carbon fiber on both cars, and convertibles will have blue tops. The rear spoiler is all new, as are the quarter-panel ducts. Power and suspension upgrades are being saved for the ZR1 so the Grand Sport will carry on with a naturally-aspirated 6.2-liter V8. Rated at 460 horsepower and 465 lb-ft of torque, it plays 2nd fiddle to the 650-horsepower Z06. Its supercharged 6.2-liter has 650 lb-ft of torque, making it the fastest Chevrolet ever built.

For Sale By Owner: Used Corvettes

Cup-style wheels on the GS and Blades on the Corvette Z06 are black/machined and wrapped in summer rubber. Competition seats and gloss carbon fiber adorn the interior. Black suede with blue contrast stitching and Carbon 65 Edition sill plates separate it from the crowd. Visible carbon fiber is seen on the hood, roof, rocker panels and the convertible’s tonneau cover as a statement to the world. What began 65 years ago as a fiberglass touring car has evolved into a carbon fiber masterpiece.
