This is the first time a mid-size SUV in Mercedes-AMG’s lineup will be available for a twin turbo V8 engine. The 4.0-liter twin-turbo V8 engine used in SUV and Coupe variants of the GLC Class are already used in other AMG cars, including the GT sports car family. The GLC Coupe is a four-door crossover with a fastback roofline.

In each of the models, their engines are mated to an AMG SPEEDSHIFT MCT 9-speed transmission. As for the SUV and Coupe models, 0-60 mph will arrive in 3.9 seconds, while the S Coupe model will complete the run in just 3.7 seconds. This wolf in sheep’s clothing also arrives with AMG’s active exhaust and 4MATIC+ All Wheel Drive.
