The Suncoast Corvette Association, in co-operation with the City of St. Petersburg, hosted the 23rd Annual “Corvettes at the Pier” show on Saturday, May 28th, 2016 in North Straub Park, St. Petersburg, Florida.  The show, which started 23 years ago on the St. Petersburg Pier, ran every year until the Pier’s closing, which was when it moved to South Straub Park.

This year, the show moved to the even larger North Straub Park after a three-year run in South Straub Park. This year the show hosted a total of 203 cars ranging from 1956 through 2016 with two classes of Modified, one class of Customs, and several 650 horsepower late model Z06’s. Admission was free to the public, and several thousand spectators took advantage of the great weather. Two Team Corvette race cars were on display along with four new Stingrays from Maher Chevrolet. The show had 27 Vendors selling everything from parts and cleaning supplies to women’s jewelry and clothing, decorative signs, professional services, leather goods, food, frozen drinks, smoothies and more!

This year, Suncoast Corvette Association donated $1500.00 of the show’s proceeds to the Children’s Dream Fund, a St. Petersburg based charity who provides a “Dream” for chronically or terminally ill children.
