Geneva Motor Show Cancelled Due to Coronavirus Fears

Yesterday we heard rumors of Asian automakers planning a limited appearance at this year’s biggest car show. It is now far worse than we suspected, as Reuters just reported that the 2020 Geneva Motor Show has been canceled over Coronavirus fears. Last year we saw the unveiling of the Bugatti La Voiture Noir and the Koenigsegg Jesko, so we can only guess what we won’t see this year.

“We regret this situation, but the health of all participants is our and our exhibitors’ top priority. This is a case of force majeure and a tremendous loss for the manufacturers who have invested massively in their presence in Geneva. However, we are convinced that they will understand this decision,” said Maurice Turrettini, Chairman of the Foundation Board.
