Modena Cento Ore returns for its 25th anniversary.
Italy is, of course, known for some of the most desirable, beautiful, and historically celebrated cars in the world, with many of its manufacturers calling a region dubbed the “Motor Valley” home. In turn, though, Italy is also known for its affinity for motorsport, with some of the world’s most anticipated races and traditionally reputable challenges taking place in the country. The circuits throughout the country have become some of the world’s favorite motorsport venues, and the iconic Modena Cento Ore event visits five of them in a sporting competition.
Returning this year from October 5 to 10, Modena Cento Ore is celebrating its 25th anniversary. The event combines the competition, which consists of five racing days and ten special stages on five of Italy’s most iconic circuits, with a captivating journey packed with culture, community, and the magic of Italy.
The cars in the event are divided into two categories: Competition and Regularity. Competition cars are ranked for their track races and road special stages, while Regularity cars are ranked for their precision and consistency while driving. Both categories are set to feature incredible classic cars, with both pre- and post-war cars up to 1988, including five Alfa Romeo 8C examples.
This year’s journey starts on October 5 at Rome’s Villa Borghese, with a parade through the city kicking off the event, and Vallelunga Circuit being the first track for racing starting on the 6th of October. After that, the event will visit Autodromo dell’Umbria, Mugello, Misano, and finally Autodromo Enzo e Dino Ferrari in Imola. In between, ten closed-road special stages, with two during each leg, will bring added excitement and adrenaline to each of the transfers, showcasing cars rarely seen together in intense action.
The middle of the event will feature a gala dinner in Salone dei Cinquecento at Palazzo Vecchio to celebrate Modena Cento Ore’s 25th anniversary, while the grand finale of the event in Modena will feature the awards ceremony in front of a large crowd. Partners of the event include RM Sotheby’s as a Presenting Sponsor, RevelX, U-Boat, and Racing Spirit, with the champagne partner of the event being Moët & Chandon. After 25 years, Modena Cento Ore is set to be an exciting competition and exploration of Italy’s culture and automotive excellence this year.
