St Pete Grand Prix 2020: Picture Perfect Racing

It’s been a while, but I was finally able to see some live racing action here in St. Petersburg, Florida, the hometown of duPont REGISTRY, thanks to the Firestone Grand Prix of St. Petersburg 2020. The event was a success, bringing race fans and locals out to see the action for themselves. What’s more, a lot was on the line in the IndyCar Series as Scott Dixon and Josef Newgarden were battling it out for the championship. At the end of the day, Newgarden came out with a win at the event but Dixon still managed to hold on to first place in the series.

But the event is much more than just IndyCar racing. With vendors galore, food, incredible sights and races from the MX-5 Cup, Porsche GT3 Cup, USF2000and Indy Pro 2000, there was also some racing to be enjoyed from Friday to Sunday. Honestly, it was such a delight being able to watch professional racing in our hometown because the scenery is so perfect. Have you ever watch race cars whiz past while the ocean sits in the background? Well that’s what I did and it was glorious. What’s more, the weather was perfect.

You can see the happenings from the event for yourself in the gallery below by C12 Productions. Be sure to check out the next St. Pete Grand Prix, which will be taking place March 5-7 2021.
