Throughout history, Rolex watches have always been recognized as a symbol of status and success, commemorating memorable milestones or lifesized achievements. While every Rolex model proves to be special and valuable in many ways, some immaculate examples categorize themselves as true collector-grade pieces. Making waves in the watch world is the auction sale of an incredibly special Yachtmaster once owned by the late Rolex President Patrick Heiniger. The Rolex Yachtmaster ‘Dix Millionieme Chronometre’ commemorates the Swiss watchmaker’s enormous achievement of producing the ten millionth Rolex with a COSC (Contrôle Officiel Suisse des Chronomètres) movement.

Crafted completely using platinum, the piece uniqué Yachtmaster measures 40mm and features a matching oyster bracelet. Rolex created an elegant grey dial for the one-off, styling its surface with diamond hour markers, baguette-cut sapphires, and a “DIX MILLIONIEME CHRONOMETRE” signature. The rotor of Rolex’s Caliber 3135 movement is engraved with “10,000,000 éme Chronometre” to signify itself as a piece of Rolex history. Never seen before by the public, the Rolex Yachtmaster ‘Dix Millionieme Chronometre’ was showcased as part of Monaco Legend Auction’s event and sold to an avid collector for an astonishing $2.6M.
