2017 Acura NSX

It’s finally here, the new Acura NSX. This new generation of the NSX is powered by a twin-turbocharged V6 engine that is capable of producing 500 horsepower and 406 lb-ft of torque. Additionally, the NSX also receives power from an all-new Sport Hybrid system that adds another 73 horsepower and 70 lb-ft of torque.

The electric portion of the NSX consists of a Direct Drive Motor, a power unit and the Twin Motor Unit (TMU). Because the Direct Drive Motor is locationed between the V6 engine and the new nine-speed DCT, it can provide immediate torque and allow the car to rocket. Also working to speed things up is the TMU, located in the front of the car. This unit consist of two electric motors that provide the front wheels with even more power.
