Based on the 488 GTB, the Pista is a track-focused take on the Italian supercar. Although the carmaker hasn’t published official production figures, it is generally believed that around 3,500 Pistas made it out of the factory during its production run. While low production numbers already make the Pista a highly collectible item, there’s an even rarer variant known as the Piloti.
As its name suggests, translating to “pilots,” the Piloti was only available to client racing drivers. As such, it features the driver’s number on its doors and interior. Ferrari initially offered this special edition variant in four colors, Argento Nürburgring, Nero Daytona, Blu Tour De France, and Rosso Corsa. However, given how synonymous red is with the Prancing Horse, most Piloti variants wear this shade.
The vehicle listed today is a 2020 Ferrari 488 Pista Pilot with just 516 miles on its odometer. It’s for sale at Ferrari Quebec with a $959,995 asking price. While the standard Pista makes for a strong collectible, its Piloti variant is made all the rarer as they’ve rarely traded hands since knew. Here is a chance to own one of the estimated 40 total units produced.
