So, it’s time for us to see the 488 GTB on some open road.
“Blisteringly fast on the track, exhilarating on the road,” is how the marque is describing their new V8 in a July 1 press release and their YouTube video. You can see the V8-powered Prancing Horse navigate hairpin turns up, down and around a mountain road, taking on curves, corners and elevation changes without any hesitation.

Ferrari imbued the engine of the 488 GTB with all of the knowledge gained from decades of development and the success of the LaFerrari, creating a turbocharged 3.9-liter V8 capable of producing 660 hp and 560 lb-ft. Combined with a dry weight of just 3,020, its 0-62 mph time is decreased to three seconds flat, with a top speed of 205+ mph.
