Construction on Ferrari Land Has Begun

A land dedicated to everything Ferrari? Count us in. Construction is underway for Ferrari Land in PortAventura Resort.

On May 7, the first stone was laid for the theme park, symbolizing the start of construction. The ceremony for the laying of the first stone was lead by Artur Mas, President of Catalonia, Arturo Mas-Sardá, President of PortAventura Resort; Maurizio Arrivabene, Team Principal of Ferrari F1 Team; and the Ferrari F1 Team driver Sebastian Vettel.

This new park is was made possibly after an almost €100 million invested from PortAventura and it will cover 807,293 sq. ft. It will feature a number of different attractions, including world-class simulators and a vertical accelerator that will launch guests to a height of 367 ft at a rate of 111.8 mph.

Ferrari Land is scheduled to be completed at the end of 2016.
