Ferrari f12berlinetta Price

If you wanted the fastest Ferrari in 2012, it would have been the Ferrari f12berlinetta for sale. No car in recent history made enthusiasts forget about its predecessor. That is because the Ferrari f12berlinetta price is a bargain for what you receive. It arrived in 2012 with a base price of $330,000. This was and is a significant sum, and many owners chose to splurge with all the optional content. Nearly $100,000 could be added to personalize your car.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Review

Once you are behind the wheel, you realize that the Ferrari f12berlinetta review is more than performance. The leather surrounds you as become acquainted with the controls. One of the few late model Ferraris to have a center console, it is a very comfortable experience. Powered seats and steering column allow for an optimal seating position. The beltline has a perfect height to allow great visibility. Floor the skinny pedal and the Ferrari f12berlinetta horsepower will scare you, and everyone around you.

Although steering and braking are almost effortless, the driver is sitting relatively far from the front bumper. This amplifies the G-forces experienced in extreme cornering, so you should invest in a 5-point harness for track days. Even with the massive V12 ahead of you, engineers placed the transmission and fuel tank out back. This gives the car a 48/52 weight bias front to rear. Being tail heavy by a fraction prevents understeer, and provides a perfect grand touring experience.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Specs

Thanks to the incredible styling, you will be asked about your Ferrari f12berlinetta Specs on a constant basis. You need to be prepared, so we have this important data at your fingertips. First off, the exhaust speaks for itself. It is an unmistakable symphony of 6.3 liters. The firing order of the Ferrari V12 hasn’t changed, but it has been enhanced by a higher compression ratio than its predecessors.

What is the World’s Fastest Ferrari?

How does the Ferrari f12berlinetta top speed reach 211 mph? Well, it isn’t too hard if you have slippery aerodynamics. The other factor is having 731 horsepower and 509 lb-ft of torque. The Ferrari f12berlinetta 0-60 is 2.9 seconds, with a verified quarter mile of 10.8 seconds at 138 mph. It performs this while offering a comfortable ride and perfect ergonomics.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Engine

Now we come to the heart of the matter. The Ferrari f12berlinetta engine must be experienced to be believed. Normally a twelve cylinder engine achieves 2nd order harmonic balance at 60 degrees. A big portion of the secret sauce is that Ferrari chooses to place each bank 65 degrees apart. Nevertheless, it is silky smooth thanks to forged internals and resonators in the intake runners.

It actually burns cleaner than almost all other production cars thanks to a wild compression ratio. Direct injection allows for 13.1 pistons to withstand 8,300 rpm. It makes maximum torque at 6,000 rpm and maximum horsepower at 8,250 rpm. Despite the rumors of V12 engines being obsolete, we’re glad Ferrari has stayed true to their heritage.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Transmission

To access this power requires a close-ratio transmission. The Ferrari f12berlinetta transmission is not close to the engine, as it is mounted behind the rear axles. It incorporates the rear differential along with two main shafts. Because the ring & pinion have a 4.375 final drive, it allows the ratios to be very close.

Another quirk of all dual-clutch transmissions is the inability to lock the input and output shafts together. This prevents a true 1:1 gear, which is 4th gear on most six-speed sticks. Instead, 5th gear in the f12berlinetta transmission is 1.028:1. Sixth and seventh are progressive overdrives to keep engine speed low on the highway. It is not a problem as the car can leap from 7th to 3rd gear in the twinkling of an eye.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Interior

Gorgeous lines and incredible power would be useless without the comfort of Italian leather. That is why the Ferrari f12berlinetta interior is awash in hand-stitched hides. It includes every luxury available, from a powered steering column to heated seats. If you truly want respect from your passenger, a horizontal display above the glove box shows RPM and MPH.

No detail of the Ferrari f12berlinetta interior was overlooked. The air vents are sculpted aluminum and the console has transmission controls floating on an elegant bridge. The steering wheel is ergonomic and relaxing while displaying an LED shift indicator along the upper rim. Symmetry is also found in the climate control panel, and the dash is double-stitched.

The infotainment system is powerful, and it is easy to navigate. You might be wondering where the CD player is, and it is located in the rear bulkhead between the seats. Matched luggage added over $13,651 to the Ferrari f12berlinetta price, and the golf bag is $10,439. Try to find 2-tone Daytona seats, as they are the most comfortable option.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Brakes

I like big brakes and I can not lie. Fast cars need to be able to stop on a dime, the Ferrari f12berlinetta has Brembo carbon ceramics at all corners. The front rotors area massive 15.7″ and the rear measure 14.2″. Because they are so adept at turning rotational energy into heat, long corners will make your rotors glow as bright as a sunrise. On the street, you need to allow them to reach operating temperature before abuse, and that rule applies to the engine and transmission also.

Ferrari f12berlinetta Standout Features

The only constant in the automotive world is change. Many Ferrari faithful were shocked at the absence of a Pininfarina badge. That is because the F12berlinetta was the first V12 flagship to be designed in-house. Enzo wanted to manage his race team, so he entrusted the design of the street cars to Battista Pininfarina. Scaglietti would build the bodies, and everything worked smooth for half a century.

Because Ferrari’s Centro Stile designed the f12berlinetta, the car’s success prompted a command performance. Inspired by the 250 GT cars that dominated the Tour de France, the f12tdf was a special edition limited to 799 cars. Digging into the engine, solid tappets and a variable intake yielded 769 horsepower and 520 lb-ft of torque. Stripping out conveniences and insulated saved 243 lb-ft. This makes it 2 seconds faster around Fiorano compared to the f12berlinetta. They are track focused, so it is best to compare them before making a purchase.
