Ferrari Purosangue Price, Specs, Photos & Review

This is Ferrari like it always has been, and like you’ve never seen it before.

There’s no denying the recent trend in the automotive world of brands that previously made luxury sports cars now foraying into luxury performance SUVs. While we can trace the origins of this trend back decades, the current wave of more recent players in the category proves that now is a better time than ever to get in the luxury performance SUV segment with what some of the best ones are capable of. For many, what results is the ultimate car, with incredible on-road performance, off-road capability, and everyday practicality, luxury, and usability that no sports car could even dream to match. Ferrari, one of the world’s most timeless and exclusive automotive brands in the world, has finally offered its answer to the highly competitive luxury performance SUV segment: the Purosangue. While Ferrari’s first SUV might seem like a radical change for the brand, Ferrari made sure to make it one of its own cars through and through, and made sure that the unforgettable and irreplaceable driving experience would be worth the wait and the Ferrari Purosangue price. It’s finally time to experience the same Ferrari brand, but this time, on an entirely new frontier.

Ferrari Purosangue Price

The price of the new Ferrari SUV has yet to be announced. Without a doubt, however, it’s going to be quite an expensive and exclusive vehicle, as all Ferraris are. The amount of innovation, luxury, style, and craftsmanship involved in the new Ferrari Purosangue is going to come at quite the price.

Ferrari Purosangue Review

For many, there’s a fear that the Purosangue is a car that is different from Ferrari’s typical offerings. However, Ferrari has preserved its DNA in the Purosangue with its incredible performance. It features a weight distribution that is enviable by even the most dynamic sports cars at 49:51%. In addition, the car does something that even luxury performance SUVs and cars in general rarely do: include a V12 engine. The naturally-aspirated V12 engine in the new Purosangue makes it a true Ferrari, and a member of a dying breed even in the world of supercars and high-performance sports cars, let alone SUVs. Other innovations like the carbon fiber roof of the Purosangue make it a vehicle that takes the idea of blending the performance car and the SUV very seriously in a way that only Ferrari can.

Ferrari Purosangue Specs

The Ferrari Purosangue’s horsepower is a massive 715, coming from its naturally aspirated V12 engine, and on top of that, it boasts 528 lb/ft of torque. With an 8-speed dual-clutch transmission, the Ferrari Purosangue is able to rival some of the world’s best performance cars even as an SUV, including an incredible 0-60 time under 3.3 seconds.

Ferrari Purosangue Engine

The V12 in the Ferrari Purosangue is one of the most important aspects of the car. In a world that is becoming more environmentally conscious than ever, the V12 engine is quickly disappearing from the automotive world, and it affects brands like Ferrari the most. Because of that, many thought that the Ferrari Purosangue would be powered by a smaller engine like a V8 or even a V6 like the Purosangue’s 296 GTB Prancing Horse stablemate. However, Ferrari stayed true to its most important roots in including the V12, and its high power output is true to Ferrari’s ethos, as well.

Ferrari Purosangue Transmission

The 8-speed dual-clutch automatic transmission in the Ferrari Purosangue is able to shift much faster than its 7-speed predecessor, and it is an integral part of what makes the Ferrari Purosangue such an incredible performer. The transmission is optimized not only to deliver incredible performance but also smooth driving, and the perfect sound experience of the increasingly unique V12 engine.

Ferrari Purosangue Interior

The interior of the Ferrari Purosangue is unique because the launch of the Purosangue marks Ferrari’s very first four-door car. While Ferrari has had 2+2 models with rear seats for decades, the reveal of the Ferrari Prusoangue is that of the first Ferrari with four doors. Also, the SUV driving experience meant that Ferrari had to add different features and capabilities to the interior of the car. Optionally, owners can choose to have their Purosangue equipped with an electrochromic glass roof rather than the standard carbon fiber, and the Purosangue is also the first Ferrari to be compatible with Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. The Purosangue offers a luxury driving experience that combines SUV luxury with Ferrari performance.

Ferrari Purosangue Standout Features

Of course, having a Ferrari with four doors makes it a standout feature among its Cavallino Rampante counterparts, but even among other SUVs, the doors themselves are a standout feature, because they are suicide doors. The unique backward opening direction of the rear doors makes for a presence that is unmistakable and visually interesting as if the Ferrari Purosangue didn’t stand out from the crowd enough. Also, the new Purosangue features lots of innovation and technology derived from its fellow high-performance Ferraris, like wheels inspired by the SF90 Stradale and dynamics systems originally used on the Ferrari 296 GTB. The four-wheel drive system uses technology from the GTC4Lusso and SF90 Stradale, and the Purosangue’s four-wheel steering system is derived from the 812 Competizione. Four individually-adjustable seats, large displays for both driver and front passenger, and a sound system from Burmester dial up the Purosangue’s luxury factor, and the front seats even boast a massage function, making for one of if not the most luxurious offering from Ferrari yet.
