The Only Ferrari-Powered Racing Boat Has Landed in the U.S. for the 1st Time Ever

For the first time ever, the one and only Ferrari racing boat has landed in the United States. What’s more, it landed right in the duPont REGISTRY Live booth on Peter Hay Hill at Monterey Car Week. Joining the boat was the owner who brought it all the way over from Italy, where it was being certified by Ferrari Classiche.

Called the Arno XI, this boat was created back in the 1950s for one purpose: breaking the World Speed Record on the water. Achille Castoldi proposed the idea to Enzo Ferrari who agreed to help him in his endeavor of creating a boat worthy of breaking the record.

Powering this boat is the same 4.5-liter Type 375m 12-cylinder Ferrari engine that was built for the Ferrari 375 race car. Only four engines were built by Ferrari for Formula One in the 1950s, this being one of them. However, this engine was heavily modified for the boat and its total output was increased to around 500 bhp.

The Arno XI is truly a magnificent boat and a true piece of Ferrari history that’s unmatched. That being said, you could actually own this boat, as it’s currently listed for sale exclusively through duPont REGISTRY. For more information, be sure to click the button down below.
