Ferrari brought the red for Valentine’s Day.

Being the holiday known for celebrating love, one of the signature colors of Valentine’s Day is red, which also happens to be the color that is synonymous with the Ferrari brand. With red being the color of Ferrari’s racing pride and glory, there was no better day on the calendar to reveal the F1 car that Ferrari will be pursuing the world’s most prized racing victories with than a day on which the color red is on the minds of people all over the world. Like much of Valentine’s Day’s greeting cards, roses, and candy, the new Ferrari SF23 F1 car added to the day’s iconic red.

The new car is set to debut at the Bahrain Grand Prix on March 5. To show off its incredible racing ability, it was unveiled at Ferrari’s Fiorano Circuit, where it completed hot laps to the thrill of 500 viewing fans. The name marks a return to the “SF” naming convention, and its special livery features exposed carbon fiber, as well as a new Ferrari Design-derived shade of red, which is matte on the F1 car, and glossy on the new 499P endurance racer. With a new car and weeks to go before it hits the track, Ferrari’s Valentine’s Day reveal was red hot.
