The exterior features a magical gloss black finish that incorporates actual 24k gold dust to give off a shimmering appearance. Areas of the Speedtail highlight matching gold pin-striping that contrasts against its stealth-like paint. The front logo plate is made of solid refined 24k gold and has a registered mint mark to guarantee its authenticity. Inside, the cabin mimics the black and gold colorway in layers of genuine leather. Its center driver seat position acts as a nod to the legendary McLaren F1.
At the pinnacle of McLaren engineering, the Speedtail features a hybrid powertrain that offers unmatched performance. The 4.0-Liter Twin-Turbocharged V8 includes an additional battery borrowed from the McLaren Formula E division, which makes an astonishing 312 horsepower by itself. With a combined 1,035 horsepower and 848 ft-lbs of torque, the Speedtail launches from 0-60mph in only 2.9 seconds with help from a state-of-the-art 7-speed dual-clutch transmission.
