1959 MG A Roadster For Sale by The Market by Bonhams

IMG 0021

Presented by The Market by Bonhams.

This MGA has been well-loved by its owner. The seller has owned the car for the past 37 years and in that time plenty of work has been done. The car was completely stripped down to its frame and restored in 1984, and over $8000 worth of parts from Moss Motors were installed. Dents and dings were heated and pounded out, new floorboards were made and coated with waterproof paint. The original 1500cc engine was swapped out for a 1600cc engine which was rebuilt and now has approximately 30,000 miles on it. The brakes and master cylinder were replaced in January of 2020, the battery is new, and so are the tires with only 2,583 miles on them. This particular MGA is white. As stated previously, imperfections were dealt with during the restoration – which occurred roughly 40 years ago at this point – and to that end the seller reports that a few more chips in the paint have appeared during its travels. The seller also reports that the only part that needs repairs are the windshield wipers, and that the car doesn’t have side curtains. The interior of this vehicle has been redone. It is now black leather with red piping. The seats are excellent thanks to their recent refurbishing, as are the carpets and dashboard. The leather-wrapped steering wheel looks like new, and the door panels also appear to be without flaw.

The Market by Bonhams, the online classic and collectible motorcar marketplace, is now live across the US.
