It has had a complete body off frame restoration to include sandblasting of the frame and then coating it with KBS three-stage coatings, and painting the frame with soft coat KBS frame coating. Internal sealing of frame with KBS paraffin-based coating. This comes with the original top that has also been restored and painted.
Before
From there, the Bronco was given Tom’s Bronco Parts 5.5-inch long radius arm lift with shocks, all-new steering parts, tie rods, tie rods sleeves, ball joints, four-wheel disc brakes, power assist Brake master cylinder and brake proportioning valve, power steering complete with a Saginaw pump and Ford power box from an F- 250. This all sits on 305/70/18 Xtreme MT2 Pro Comp tires mounted to KMC 18×8.5 custom-made wheels. The shocks are a matched part of the lift having 2 on each corner giving this Bronco an unbelievably smooth ride and great handling capabilities.
After
The 3-speed manual transmission was replaced with a C-4 automatic transmission with Kevlar bands and extra clutches in the forward pack. Mated to this transmission are the original 302 V-8 cylinder block and heads. This engine has been bored and stroked to a 347 Cubic Inch High-performance power plant. Other upgrades include the 3.4 stroke crankshaft, bushed I-Beam rods, a nodular iron damper, S.S roller rockers, and FItech port fuel injection system with a programmable onboard tuning.
The exterior was completely stripped of all paint and the bodywork that needed to be repaired was done. A PPG paint with 3 extra layers of clear coat was applied for that deep gloss color you can see. All the lights were upgraded with today’s technology; the bezels were all replaced with billet aluminum machined parts. Hood support strut kit added for ease of access to the engine bay. The swing-away rear bumper with storage for the 35” spare tire and wheel along with a great
cooler or camping trunk storage area and “Rotopax” fluid container storage opens up all the interior room for passengers. The front bumper has accommodation for a hidden winch and is also powder coated as the rear with black Hammerite paint. Both of these are from Tom’s Bronco Parts and are the top of the line protection you can get for your vehicle.
