AMG began as two Mercedes-Benz engineers who wanted to go racing. In 1967, Mr. A & Mr. M opened a small Garage to transform production cars into supercars. The company was purchased by Mercedes-Benz in 1999, and given a blank check to build their first production car. That is why this 2014 SLS AMG GT Final Edition needs to be in your collection.
The SLS AMG GT Coupe & Roadster represent the first cars built solely by AMG and a grand farewell to the big 6.3L V8. The Final Edition was a run of 350 cars that incorporate carbon fiber from the Black Series. It offers 583 screaming horsepower at 6,800 rpm, and 479 lb-ft of torque. This roadster also leaps to 60 mph in 3.7 seconds without turbos or a supercharger.
Perhaps the most unique feature is the seller. Mercedes-Benz Classic operates the company’s museum in Stuttgart and they need more space.
