Enzo Ferrari had a problem. He wanted to win the 24 Hours of Daytona in 1969, so five aluminum versions of the 365 GTB/4 were comissioned. Scaglietti built six cars, the last one was the only street version. All of the race cars met unfortunate ends after hard lives on the track. The only street legal Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona with an aluminum body was presumed dead until it was recently discovered in Japan.
