One of the most anticipated auction events is finally here.

Mecum Auctions’ annual Kissimmee auction is one of the biggest auctions on the automotive calendar, constantly kicking off the year with record-breaking sales and incredible cars crossing the block. The 2024 Mecum Auctions Kissimmee marks the 25th anniversary of the iconic event, and coming off a record-shattering 2023 event, the 2024 iteration has already shaped up to be quite exciting.

The auction kicked off on Jan 2, and over 4,400 consignments are taking part. The total might even reach 4,500 vehicles, with Mecum’s sights set on eclipsing its incredible sales record that it set at last year’s Kissimmee auction, with a total of $234 million sold. Not only was that a record number, but it cemented the Mecum Kissimmee auction as the first ever live collector car auction to reach $200 million in two consecutive years, as the 2022 event reached $217 million.

Among the 200 acres at Osceola Heritage Park and 800,000 square feet of tents at the event, a glass house will display the main-attraction cars, and “The Room” of only Ferraris which are valued at $150 million in total. Hundreds of Corvettes, Ford Mustangs, Camaros, and more will be sold. With an incredible inventory, a massive venue, and riding the high of the incredible 2023 auction, the bar is set quite high for the 2024 Mecum Kissimmee auction, and the first day is already very promising.
