Mecum’s second Tulsa auction continues success.
With 643 vehicles crossing the block and a 77% sell-through rate, Mecum Auctions sold $17 million in total this past weekend at its second annual auction in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Held at the SageNet Center at Expo Square, the auction was characterized by a variety of cars, ranging from classics to muscle cars, to modern performance machines, all of them desirable, unique, and very worthy of a Mecum auction. The top ten sellers at the auction all sold for over 6 figures, and represent automotive icons from all over the world.

The very top seller was a 1965 Shelby Cobra CSX4000 Series Roadster which sold for $409,750, which was followed by another car from 1965, a Mercury Comet A/FX Lightweight which sold for $313,500. Following that was a 2019 Mercedes-AMG GT R that sold for $189,750. In fourth place was a 1985 Toyota FJ-45 Land Cruiser Custom which sold for $173,250, followed by two cars that sold for $165,000: a 2010 Lamborghini Gallardo Spyder and a 1969 Plymouth Hemi Road Runner Coupe. In seventh place was a 1970 Dodge Charger R/T that sold for $152,900, followed by a 1962 Chevrolet Biscayne Custom that sold for $132,000. In ninth place was a 1964 Plymouth Savoy Lightweight selling for $129,250, and finishing off the top ten was a 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Custom selling for $126,500. Mecum’s next auction comes to Florida with the Orlando Summer Special Auction, which will be held July 6-9.
