This past weekend, The Biltmore Hotel in Coral Gables, Florida, became the center of automotive excellence as ModaMiami made its grand debut. With over 8,000 attendees, the event has quickly positioned itself as a premier luxury lifestyle and automotive event on the East Coast. Drawing a global crowd, ModaMiami showcased over 250 of the world’s rarest automobiles, including eight Pebble Beach Concours d’Elegance Best of Show winners. The event marked a significant moment for RM Sotheby’s, which saw a triumphant return to Miami with over $50 million in sales during the highly-anticipated auction.

New Records

The success highlights the event’s new reputation as one of the most eagerly awaited gatherings globally, showcasing everything from Ferrari F40s to the historic Duesenbergs and even classic boats and airplanes. Among the heavy hitters, the 1953 Ferrari 250 Europa Coupe by Vignale stole the show with a selling price of $4.295 million, setting a new world record for the model. Additionally, the 1930 Duesenberg Model J and the 2010 Bugatti Veyron 16.4 Grand Sport ‘Sang Bleu’ also fetched massive, seven-figure bids.

ModaMiami exceeded the expectations of a conventional automotive event by offering experiences like the Moda Drive and the Magic Hour at Moda, along with the ModaMiami Cruise, allowing attendees to immerse themselves fully in the luxury car collector lifestyle. The event’s approach to celebrating the ‘best of collection’ rather than traditional judging resonated well with guests, setting ModaMiami apart as a must-attend event for avid car collectors and enthusiasts.
