While the new models from Porsche present the latest and greatest aspects of modern-day automotive manufacturing, historic examples continue to hold significance throughout the vast community of car enthusiasts and collectors. No conversation on Porsche can go on without mentioning the iconic 959, a limited production performance chassis only best described as ‘One of the greatest ‘supercars’ of all time’. The passionate team at Canepa of Scotts Valley, California are proud to showcase this magnificent 1988 Porsche 959 ‘Reimagined’ as part of its incredible inventory of modern supercars, collector cars, and vintage race cars. Originally not imported or federalized for the U.S. market, Canepa was instrumental in the passing of the Show or Display law, the federal legislation that allowed these highly sought-after vehicles to be driven in the U.S. for the first time in 1999.

As part of Canepa’s SC program, this Porsche 959 underwent a complete overhaul to bring the motorsport icon back to the best version of itself. The restoration took thousands of man hours, using over 3,000 individual pieces that have been restored, rebuilt, or upgraded throughout the meticulous build process. This Porsche 959 features an incredibly rare ‘Paint-to-Sample’ Emerald Green exterior unlike any of the other 292 examples in existence. To further increase the ride quality and handling performance, Canepa designed and produced a new 18-inch wheel utilizing modern technology while still staying true to Porsche’s original 959 design.
