Green and beige are always a winning combo.
Up for sale right now at Ferrari Los Angeles is an extremely rare Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren. The exterior is finished in the gorgeous Fayalite Green, a paint color you don’t see often on the SLR McLaren. Beige can be found in the interior, and we all know that a green/beige color combination is always a beautiful sight to see. While this very special supercar is beautiful, it’s also in immaculate condition. With just 820 miles on its odometer, it’s barely been driven. What’s more, Ferrari Los Angeles notes that it has been recently serviced and is on a new set of tires. The window sticker is available together with all the manuals, books, accessories, and service records and it’s available upon request.
If you’re unfamiliar with this model, there’s a lot to learn, but I’ll break it down quickly. The Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren was made as a production version of the Vision SLR Concept. Mercedes took inspiration from closed-wheel Formula 1 cars and the 1955 Mercedes-Benz 300 SLR Uhlenhaut Coupé. Wanting to put the concept into production, Mercedes worked alongside McLaren to make it happen. In charge of the design was none other than Gordon Murray, the genius behind the McLaren F1 and his own T.50. For power, the SLR McLaren utilizes a supercharged 5.4-liter V8 that’s capable of producing 617 horsepower and 680 lb-ft of torque.
