It would be hard to fit 100 candles on a cake, especially if it’s made of carbon fiber. Lamborghini knows they are the product of one man’s vision and determination. Ferrucio Lamborghini would be proud to see how his name has been forever tied to the world’s most powerful automobiles. To celebrate his 100th birthday, the factory built 20 examples of the Centenario Coupe, and 20 Roadsters. Each one is in your face and unashamed.
It makes the Aventador SV appear tame, thanks to wild exposed carbon fiber and the loudest exhaust we’ve heard. Every component of the 6.5 liter engine was revised in order to raise the redline. It will freely rev to 8,600 rpm, which is how it creates 759 horsepower and 507 lb-ft of torque. In keeping with history, it hardly has any sound insulation. It takes the magnetic suspension and all-wheel-steering to a new level, thanks to 180% more downforce. Before the cars were even finished, all 20 coupes and 20 roadsters were sold at a private Lamborghini owner’s event at Pebble Beach.
