When the McLaren Elva was first unveiled, it featured no windshield. While the styling of the Elva and the technology behind the Active Air Management System (AAMS) that pushed oncoming air above the cockpit was impressive, it was not a street-legal car. Sure, one could drive the Elva on the track but cars this stunning deserve to be seen on the road. That’s why McLaren launched a version of the Elva that included a DOT-legal windshield, allowing it to venture onto the public roads.
For sale right now, at McLaren Dallas, is one of these incredibly rare hypercars and it comes with only its delivery miles on the odometer. McLaren Dallas had this street-legal example specifically commissioned for the dealership and has now listed this rarity for sale.
