These two cars for sale make a prized pair.

The Mercedes-Benz 300 SL is one of the most celebrated cars of all time. It’s one of the defining examples of the grand touring genre, with its forever-stunning looks, performance that excels in its time, and design with luxurious, leisurely, long drives in mind. All this is true even before mentioning the gullwing doors that cemented the car in automotive history forever. For those reasons, along with the car’s rarity and age, well-preserved and documented examples are worth a fortune and are also very hard to find. However, it’s cars like these that Cargold Collection in Germany specializes in, and the dealership currently has not just one but two examples of the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL available for sale, 1 from 1955, and 1 from 1960.

By 1960, the gullwing doors had been replaced, and Mercedes-Benz had instead opted for a roadster, allowing for the open-top driving experience that car enthusiasts crave to this day. The 1960 example is fitted with its original hardtop and features matching-number parts throughout. The gullwing 1955 example was originally owned in Los Angeles, but it was sold in 1987 and moved to Germany, where it did the Mille Miglia, and it still has its matching-numbers engine today. Both cars are red today, but the roadster was originally Creme and the coupe was originally green. Available at Cargold Collection GmbH on duPont REGISTRY, both of these stunning machines are available for sale, and purchasing even one would put your car collection among the world’s greatest.
