2019 Ford Raptor Gets Off-Road Cruise Control

One of the main challenges of rock crawling is choosing the perfect line. In the old days, 4WD trucks had “granny” gears that would offer gear reductions of over 60:1. This allowed the engine to idle up a mountain without input from the gas pedal. Although the Raptor has the latest in 10-speed automatics, granny gears are hated by the EPA. So Ford has the answer to perfect crawling, an off-road cruise control system.

In a press release this morning, a YouTube video shows the capabilities of the system. Dial-in your speed from 1 to 20 mph and the Trail Control sends torque where it is needed to keep your momentum. Our dealers have a few already, so click the link below to find your Raptor
