Law enforcement is about to see electrifying new innovation thanks to Ford.

Ford’s new F-150 Lightning pickup is changing the game with its fully-electric power, and now Ford has rolled out a new Pro Special Service Vehicle version of the F-150 Lightning so that the innovation of the vehicle can be extended to police departments. This new truck combines the technology and power of the F-150 Lightning with appointments and specifications that make the truck perfect for police departments across the country.

The truck boasts an available sub-4-second 0-60 time, and features things like heavy-duty police-grade cloth seats, steel intrusion plate, and LED warning beacons on the roof for police activities, as well as towing up to 10,000 pounds with the extended-range battery. The F-150 Lightning also lends itself to increased utility, as the lack of an engine in the front means there is more space available to store gear and supplies. With the new Ford F-150 Lightning Pro Special Service Vehicle, the futurism of electric vehicles rewrites the rules for all kinds of vehicles on our roads.
