The vehicle shares key components with its road-going sibling such as the 500+ horsepower 5.0-liter V8 engine, Tremec 3160 manual transmission, Torsen limited-slip differential with 3.73 final drive ratio, and Brembo rear brake calipers/rotors. An array of track-focused enhancements elevates the Dark Horse R’s performance capabilities to unprecedented levels.
The Ford Mustang Dark Horse R also ushers in the all-new Mustang Challenge spec racing series, sanctioned by the International Motor Sports Association (IMSA).
