LYNX Motors and Graham Rahal Performance transform the 2000s Ford GT.
The Ford GT is one of the most legendary and celebrated American supercars. Created as a stunning homage to the Ford GT40 that forged an unforgettable legacy for Ford at the 24 Hours of Le Mans, the Ford GT used Ford’s Modular V8 engine in a mid-mounted supercar to create one of the most favorite American contributions to the supercar world among enthusiasts. To this day, the 2000s Ford GT has been used as a basis for incredible custom performance creations.
The latest is the new LYNX GT1, a result of a collaboration between LYNX Motors and Graham Rahal Performance, both celebrated names in the world of performance. Built as a limited-series run from 28 first-generation Ford GT chassis, the LYNX GT1 is a motorsport-inspired, street-legal version of the Ford Matech Concepts GT1 Le Mans race car, which was originally raced by Swiss Matech GT Racing in 2010.
For those who want a unique experience of the modern era of the Le Mans legacy, the new LYNX GT1 is an opportunity to own the street-legal revitalization of a true racing hero. With a carbon fiber body, a target performance of over 1,200 horsepower from its supercharged V8, and a 6-speed manual transmission from Ricardo, the new LYNX GT1 is anticipated to be an absolute thrill to drive, and with only 28 set to be made, it will be an exclusive masterpiece for whatever collection it lands in, as well.
