Gordon Murray Automotive is set to make a splash at this year’s Monterey Car Week.
Already hailed as one of the greatest legends in the automotive industry, Gordon Murray has been a driving force behind some of the world’s most remarkable performance cars for decades. After a glowing career that includes penning vehicles like the McLaren F1 and the Mercedes-Benz SLR McLaren, Gordon Murray has gone on to create Gordon Murray Automotive, a new manufacturer that is transforming the performance car landscape with unabashedly purist-focused design and incredible performance.
Featuring naturally aspirated V12 engines that rev unfathomably high and send their immense power through manual transmissions, Gordon Murray Automotive’s lineup is dedicated to preserving a dying breed of automotive excellence that true automotive enthusiasts and collectors are finding more difficult to get their hands on in today’s market. As the manufacturer grows, the new Gordon Murray Special Vehicles Division has emerged, combining the purist engineering excellence of GMA cars with bespoke craftsmanship, and the first two models from the new division are set to debut admidst this year’s Monterey Car Week festivities, specifically at the highly prestigious “The Quail: A Motorsports Gathering” event.
One is a bespoke customer commission, while the other is completely designed by the Gordon Murray Special Vehicles team, and they will debut as the Gordon Murray T.50’s 100-unit production run nears its end. As the anticipation builds for Monterey Car Week, however, Gordon Murray Automotive is set to put on an incredible display at this year’s Goodwood Festival of Speed, showcasing many of the highlights of Gordon Murray’s illustrious automotive design career, like the various race cars he was responsible for, the McLaren F1, and much of the Gordon Murray Automotive lineup of supercars. With the official debut of the first two models from Gordon Murray Special Vehicles coming soon, the growing Gordon Murray Automotive brand is entering a new chapter.
