A very special Jaguar makes its debut for a very special occasion.

The Jaguar E-type is one of the most iconic cars in the world; it influences grand tourers and sports cars to this day with its incredible looks and dedication to driving pleasure and classic sports car spirit. To celebrate both Jaguar’s history and the Queen’s Platinum Jubilee, a one-off E-type Roadster restored by Jaguar Classic made its debut with 15 other iconic Jaguars at Her Majesty’s Platinum Jubilee Pageant that showcase the history of the brand, like the electric I-PACE eTrophy race car and 7 Jaguar convertibles transporting famous Dames.

The customer of the E-type was also in attendance at the celebration, and his requirements for creating the car were to have an E-type originally manufactured in his birth year, 1965, and finished with a bespoke restoration inspired by the Union Jack. Jaguar Classic tracked down a Series 1 E-type that was built only two days after he was born. In the following year, the car was restored and painted with a unique metallic blue inspired by the Union Jack, with an interior that featured a shade of red inspired by the iconic British pillar box. After that, the original 4.2-liter straight-six engine was replaced by a 4.7-liter engine and paired with Jaguar Classic’s five-speed gearbox. Upgraded suspension, wheels and tires, exhaust, lighting, and infotainment all work to further modernize the car making it a beautiful vehicle that delivers driving pleasure without compromise. It’s a stunning bespoke E-type that showcases just how timeless the car truly is.
