The final Jaguar F-TYPE joins the Heritage collection, marking 50 years since the last E-TYPE.
In a historic tribute, the final Jaguar F-TYPE chassis has rolled off the production line at the Castle Bromwich facility, exactly 50 years after the last E-TYPE rolled off the production line. This 5.0L V8 Convertible in Giola Green, featuring a black roof and Tan Windsor leather interior, mirrors the exact configuration of the last E-TYPE Series III Convertible built in 1974. This special F-TYPE will now join the prestigious Jaguar Heritage collection, guaranteeing its legacy endures alongside its iconic predecessor. The Jaguar Daimler Heritage Trust (JDHT) will host this final F-TYPE, participating in special events and activities throughout the year.
The end of F-TYPE production marks a significant moment in Jaguar’s history, signifying a bridge between the past and the future. Just as the last E-TYPE celebrated the arrival of the groundbreaking XJ-S, this final F-TYPE signals Jaguar’s bold transition towards an electrified future. The F-TYPE, first launched as a convertible in 2013, was Jaguar’s first two-seat sports car in nearly 40 years and received a series of accolades, including the 2013 World Car Design of the Year award. With 87,731 units produced, Jaguar’s most popular model has left an unforgettable mark on automotive history and will remain available until early 2025.
Jaguar’s heritage collection at Gaydon will now feature both the final F-TYPE and E-TYPE, along with the last series XE, XF, and XF Sportbrake. The JDHT records show that Jaguar produced 72,528 E-TYPES, concluding with a special run of 50 cars, all but one painted black. The second-to-last E-TYPE, finished in British Racing Green, was delivered to a private collector. As Jaguar gears up for the introduction of a revolutionary four-door electric GT in 2025, the final F-TYPE’s addition to the heritage collection highlights the brand’s dedication to preserving its rich history while embracing the future.
