Matchbox Replica Jeep Gladiator Raises $325K For Charity At Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale

Barrett-Jackson Scottsdale 2024 truly hit the mark, offering a vibrant blend of exhilarating auction sales and celebrity car appearances. Yet, it was the event’s dedication to charitable initiatives that truly resonated throughout the week, showcasing the power of uniting passion for automobiles with a purposeful cause. One auction lot that carried a tremendous amount of significance was the heavily modified Matchbox replica 2023 Jeep Gladiator from the team at RealTruck, which took center stage with the plan to donate 100% of the hammer price to Building Homes for Heros non-profit organization. Founded by CEO Andy Pujol after he volunteered in the 9/11 search-and-rescue efforts, the charity is devoted to supporting wounded veterans and first responders.

The fundraising event, orchestrated by RealTruck, collected an incredible $325,000 for Building Homes for Heroes, dedicating the proceeds to constructing and customizing homes, which are then presented, free of mortgage, to veterans and first responders as a token of gratitude for their service. Leading the charge with a generous bid of $250,000 was NASCAR team luminary Rick Hendrick. Not far behind, Barrett-Jackson President Steve Davis contributed $25,000, while a donation of $50,000 from an anonymous attendee rounded off the contributions.
