225 MPH Koenigsegg Agera R Takes Down Porsche 918 on Autobahn

Oh, the Autobahn. It’s a stretch of European road that people like me, here in the United States, long for. In most areas, there is no federally mandated speed limit, meaning cars like the Koenigsegg Agera R and Porsche 918 Spyder can take down the roads full throttle.

To show off just how insane you can get on these roads is a new video from GTBOARD.com. In this video, uploaded November 16, we see the Agera R and 918 Spyder rip down the road, with the Swedish hypercar “dominating,” per the video’s title.

But, does the Agera R really dominate the 918 Spyder? As far as power goes, the Agera R produces 1,140 hp and 885 lb-ft of torque from its twin-turbo 5.0-liter V8 engine; the 918 Spyder’s 4.6-liter V8 with two electronic engines is capable of 887 hp and 944 lb-ft of torque. Needless to say, the Koenigsegg has an advantage in the power department, but that’s not to say the 918 Spyder doesn’t have a few technical advantages up its sleeve. But, don’t just read the numbers, see them both in action in the video above.

And, as a little treat, the same YouTube channel also uploaded a video of the two cars revving out loud in a tunnel. You can check that out below.

Remember to always follow your local traffic laws, because not every road should be driven on like it’s the Autobahn.
