The Automotive Hall Of Fame’s latest inductee changed the car world nearly 60 years ago.
With a story starting in 1963, Lamborghini quickly became an automotive icon, and with nearly 60 years under its belt as a brand now, it’s only further cemented its legendary status. Its founder, Ferruccio Lamborghini, has been given the incredible honor of being inducted into the Automotive Hall of Fame, among a varied group of pioneers from all over the world in the automotive industry. To celebrate the induction, a group of automotive executives gathered at The Icon on the Detroit waterfront including the CEO of Automobili Lamborghini Andrea Baldi.

Ferruccio Lamborghini’s contribution to the automotive industry wasn’t just in founding his iconic brand, as his drive towards improving the brand and keeping it at the forefront of the performance and luxury car world brought to fruition two of the most iconic supercars in the world, let alone most iconic Lamborghinis: the Miura and the Countach. In fact, the Miura is credited by many as being the world’s first supercar. With his daring approach to performance, and relentless determination to improve, his spot in the Automotive Hall of Fame is well deserved. A marble plaque etched with his signature has been installed in the Hall of Honor of the Automotive Hall Of Fame that celebrates his legacy and the legend he created.
