Aventador J
Not long after the Aventador first came on the scene, the Aventador J, a roofless barchetta, was introduced at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show. The origin of the J is in the Miura Jota of 1970. In a convoluted twist, the name Jota comes from the Spanish pronunciation of the letter J, as the Miura Jota was built to conform to the regulations set out in the FIA’s Appendix J, which is all to say that the Aventador J was built with a racing spirit. Obviously, it lacks a roof, but also air conditioning and a radio (since neither would likely be able to do very much) to save weight. The car shown at Geneva was the only Aventador J to be produced, and it sold for an amazing $2.8 million.

Aventador Anniversario

Sian FKP 37
The Lamborghini Aventador served as the basis for plenty of firsts for Lamborghini, and in the case of the Sian FKP 37, that was Lamborghini’s first hybrid car. “Sián,” meaning “a flash of lightning” in Bolognese, is an homage to the fact that it’s Lamborghini’s first hybrid, and it uses that hybrid powertrain to achieve over 800 total horsepower, and get to an electronically limited 220 mph. “FKP 37” stands for Ferdinand Karl Piëch, born in 1937, the late chairman of Lamborghini’s parent Volkswagen Group.
