Lamborghini Huracán All-Wheel-Drive System Tested

Supercars and snow don’t normally mix. If you have had your fill of slippery situations, Lamborghini has a solution for you: the Huracan.

In a video uploaded to their YouTube page today, Lamborghini uses low traction situations to demonstrate the abilities of their all-wheel-drive system. The beauty is in the complete computer control of the torque sent to each wheel. This is achieved by having electronic control of all three differentials.

The center differential is bolted to the transmission and divides power front to rear. Borg-Warner designed the unit specifically for the Huracan and it is going to change how all-wheel-drive cars are controlled. It uses a multi-plate wet clutch that can send 100 percent of the power to the front or rear, and instantly change the ratio in response to how much grip is sensed at the ground.

Watch the video and you can see how the system rations power to make sure the Huracan dominates the snow.
