Lamborghini’s traditional V12 powertrain is going but it won’t go quietly.

The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae is the brand’s grand and loving way to say goodbye to the traditional naturally aspirated V12 engine that it was known for having in its cars for decades. As the future makes the environment more of a priority, the V12 engine has less of a place in it. However, that doesn’t make Lamborghini or its fans love it any less, and the Aventador Ultimae is a bittersweet ode to the very thing that served as a backbone for so much of Lamborghini history.

The Lamborghini Aventador Ultimae is limited to 350 coupes and 250 Ultimae Roadsters, and all of them have been sold. The final coupe was auctioned for $1.6 million, and it came along with an NFT created in collaboration with Steve Aoki and artist Krista Kim. With its legendary V12 engine, and its combination of the best attributes of both the SVJ and S models of the Lamborghini Aventador, it was bound to be a breathtaking car, and now that we see it on the road, that’s definitely confirmed.
