Lamborghini’s next supercar reveals its powerful hybrid heart.
Lamborghini has officially sent off the Huracán and its unforgettable V10 engine. However, something new is coming, and Lamborghini has shown us the innovative new powertrain set to power the Huracán’s quickly upcoming successor. Coming after the first plug-in hybrid Lamborghini, the Revuelto, featuring a hybrid V12 boasting 1,001 horsepower, and the Lamborghini Urus SE, the first plug-in hybrid Super SUV from Lamborghini, the new hybrid supercar is going to feature a twin-turbocharged V8, paired with three electric motors.
The 4.0-liter engine is an all-new design from Lamborghini. Its incredibly high RPM limit of 10,000 sets it apart from other V8s in the performance car world. Its 789 horsepower and 538 lb/ft of torque match the electric system’s 148 horsepower and 221 lb/ft of torque for a total of 937 horsepower and 759 lb/ft of torque, all in a compact, lightweight design.
As the replacement for the Huracán continues its development, Lamborghini will reveal more exciting details about its performance, design, and innovation, building anticipation for Lamborghini’s new chapter of hybrid supercars. Sitting alongside the Revuelto and Urus SE, the new Lamborghini hybrid supercar will exemplify the pinnacle of hybrid performance technology and innovation.
