The third season of Lamborghini’s virtual competition is very real.
The Real Race is Lamborghini’s Esports competition, and it’s returning for a third season, but with Lamborghini’s evolution into the Esports field, The Real Race is going to be more serious now than it ever has been before. Hosted in the Assetto Corsa Competizione game, racers will compete with a virtual Lamborghini Huracan Super Trofeo EVO2, with the competition season starting as soon as May 7 with qualifiers, until October 16 when the finale will occur.

With Assetto Corsa being developed in collaboration with car manufacturers, and being the software of choice for professional racers in the real world to prepare and train, the name of this competition comes from it being quite the serious and genuine replication of physical racing, and the stakes of the competition are similar. The winner gets the incredible opportunity to become an official member of the recently launched Lamborghini Esports team, which is currently comprised of three drivers: Jordan Sherratt, Gianfranco Giglioli, and Giorgio Simmonini. Starting with qualifiers, the top 20 drivers from each qualifier and the winner will all advance to the group stage. Six days of Group Stage racing will determine through a point system the top 15 drivers who will advance to the finale. The Last Chance race will give one driver from each competing region the chance to enter the finale, and the top 16 will enter a finale where the winner will be determined. Qualifiers start May 7, and from then, the season will only get more intense.
