An Italian supercar makes history in the United States.

If you’re a fan of the automotive world, there’s no doubt in my mind that you have seen The Cannonball Run, or at the very least seen the opening scene with the Lamborghini Countach. Well, that very Countach from the opening scene has just been added to the National Historic Vehicle Register of the United States Library of Congress. This registry includes 30 cars that are of national importance to the country and, now, the Countach is included. That means that all history, scans, documentation, and more will be preserved in the Library of Congress. To celebrate the occasion, the Countach will be on display on the National Mall in Washington D.C. in a glass case this week.
